Using This Website
This website has been developed to widen access to our collections and to provide visitors with information about what is happening at our venues.
Where images of copyrighted materials and works have been used, the rights of the copyright holder must be upheld, more information can be found in our Copyright section.
In developing this website we have aimed to meet current good practice in web accessibility. In particular:
- We aim to maintain this website so that it complies to the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines to level AA compliance.
- It has been built using valid HTML and CSS.
- This website uses the UK Governments Access Keys - see below for more information.
- Various ways are provided to allow users to alter the display whilst it is being used, see the Accessibility Options section. Alternatively, the user's own style sheet can be used with the website.
- The structure of the website has been designed to make it as easy to navigate as possible and screen reader users can 'skip' the navigation links by using 'skipnav'.
- There is a Site Map of the website which can help you navigate around the site or you can use the Search facility to find pages of interest.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions about how we could improve the site to make it even easier to use, please contact us either by emailing the web manager at info@stokemuseums.org.uk or by using our online form.
