Animation Workshops
Animation workshops are a bit of a speciality for The Outreach Team. We often hold drop in workshops at the Potteries Museum and also take our equipment out to schools and community groups. We teach you how to create your own animations, from story boards and character design, to editing your own film and even adding a sound track. We use lots of different animation techniques including sand, brickfilm, claymation, pivot and cut out.
Below are some examples of claymation and brickfilm animations that were created by visitors to the The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery over the February 2010 half term. These workshops were part of Stoke Your Fires, Festival of animation.
